We were able to visit the orphanage today and what a moving experience. We went to Maria and Danielle’s dorm that they shared with other girls. Their friends were still at school when we were there but a few of the younger girls were in the dorm. Audrey, Evan, and I wanted to scoop them up as well.
These children are so sweet! As we were leaving the orphanage that houses over 600 children, we saw several of Maria and Danielle’s friend coming home from school. This culture is extremely beautiful inside and out. Audrey, Evan and I are overwhelmed with gratitude and emotion. While heading to the dinner our translator asked how we came to adopt two girls. There is so much to write about and share, so many things we have seen, people we have met. Our focus is building our relationship and trust with the girls, so far it is going very well. I know the challenges that lay ahead back in the states will be very challenging for them. Please be in prayer for the upcoming adjustment when we come back to
I’ve added a few more pictures to the blog.
Blessings from
Tim, Audrey, and Evan.
